Carol was born in Clarksville, Tennessee.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Austin Peay State University in 1991, and received her JD with honors, in 1994, from Vanderbilt University School of Law.

She is a member of Tennessee, Nashville and Montgomery Bar Associations. Carol is licensed in Tennessee and practices through out the State and Federal Courts in Tennessee.
